When you first launch Simple Moods, you'll be asked to choose your tracking mode:

No! Simple Moods is fully offline and works without any internet connection. This ensures your data stays private and on your device only.

Yes! Tap on any day in the calendar view to view the entry. From there, you can edit any fields or delete the entire entry.
Use the calendar view to see a color-coded overview of your moods. Tap the graph icon to view detailed charts and trends over time.
Mixed episodes involve experiencing symptoms of both mania and depression simultaneously. If you're experiencing this, select "Mixed" at the top of the mood scale. "Manic" is for pure manic symptoms without depressive features.
Go to Settings → Data → Export Data. This creates a backup file you can save to your device, email to yourself, or store in your preferred cloud service. Since Simple Moods is offline-only, we don't provide automatic cloud backup.
Go to Settings → Data → Import Data. Select your previously exported backup file to restore your mood history.
Yes! Export your data from your old device, then import it on your new device. Make sure to save the export file somewhere you can access from both devices (email, cloud storage, etc.).
Data is exported as JSON format, which can be read by many applications.
Absolutely. Simple Moods doesn't have internet permissions and never sends your data anywhere. Everything stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Unfortunately, because we have no access to your data or device, we cannot reset your PIN. However, you can uninstall and reinstall the app to start fresh (note: this will delete all your data unless you have a backup).
Yes! All mood data is encrypted at rest on your device using industry-standard encryption. The optional PIN adds an additional layer of app-level security.
